Welcome to the info page for maintenance.app, a very very simple, and rather lame, application for Mac OS X that can run basic maintenance tasks for the less terminal-savvy users out there.

What does it do that millions of other apps don't? Nothing. But I wrote this one myself, trying to learn my way around programming in OS X, so there you go. At the current time, it uses the terminal to allow you to repair permissions, update prebinding, and manually run the daily, weekly, and monthly cron tasks.

Maintenance.app 0.5 - Apr 11, 2003

Now a full-fledged OS X application, written with ProjectBuilder. Many, many UI enhancements due to this, incl. a more standard window, tool tips, basic menu support, etc.
Added ability to manually run /etc/daily, /etc/weekly, and /etc/monthly cron tasks, for computers that may not be on or awake during scheduled run times. (Think laptops)
